What this policy covers

This policy describes how CVExpert collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you visit the website, join early access, or use the private-beta product.

Information we collect

• Account information, including your email address and sign-in activity.
• Career information you provide, such as goals, preferences, compensation expectations, work authorization, CV content, and coaching messages.
• Job-search information, including saved jobs, application materials, statuses, notes, and public professional-profile links you choose to save.
• Basic technical and security information, such as timestamps, IP addresses in server logs, error records, and abuse-prevention signals.
• Website analytics information, such as pages visited, referring source, campaign parameters, approximate location, device type, engagement time, clicks, scroll depth, early-access form completion, and coarse page-performance measurements such as loading time and layout stability. Our first-party visitor summary stores a keyed, pseudonymous visitor identifier instead of a raw IP address or full browser user agent. Our performance measurements use only a random, single-page sample ID and do not store a visitor identifier.
• Product analytics and session replay through PostHog, including screens visited, clicks, scrolling, form interactions, edits, processing progress, performance, and errors. Recordings may include visible CV content, information entered into forms, and other information displayed in the product. When you sign in, this activity may be linked to your account ID, name, and email address. Passwords and authentication tokens are excluded.

How we use information

We use your information to provide accounts, career coaching, document generation, job-fit analysis, application tracking, networking organization, customer support, security, product improvement, and service communications. We do not sell candidate profiles or use them to make hiring decisions for employers.

AI processing

When you request coaching or application assistance, relevant profile, CV, job, and conversation content may be sent to an AI service provider to generate the requested result. CVExpert is designed to request non-persistent API processing where available. Generated output can be inaccurate and must be reviewed before use.

Service providers

We use infrastructure, security, website analytics, email-delivery, and AI-processing providers that process information on our behalf. Google Analytics and our first-party visitor summary cover public marketing pages. PostHog also processes product analytics and session recordings within the application, including visible content, to help us understand where people get stuck and improve the product. We may also share information when required by law, to protect the service or a person, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We use Google Ads to measure when an advertising visit leads to a submitted CV email request. Advertising measurement cookies are enabled for visitors in Pakistan; advertising storage and advertising user data are denied by default elsewhere. We share an email-send submission event, an opaque event identifier, and limited page and ad-click information. We do not send your CV content, recipient email address, or sign-in tokens with these conversion events, and ad personalization is disabled. Retention and your choices

Original CV files uploaded to the resume builder are kept in restricted server storage for seven days to investigate import problems, including failed imports. Expired copies are removed by an automatic cleanup that runs every minute. Pasted CV text is not included in this debugging archive.

We keep private copies of generated PDF and Word downloads for seven days to investigate export problems, then automatically delete them. Saved account CVs remain editable; downloading them generates a new file from the current saved content.

Product data is retained while your account is active and as needed for security, legal, and operational obligations. You can export or delete product data from account settings. Early-access mailing records and suppression preferences are handled separately; email [email protected] to update them. First-party page-view records are retained for up to 90 days.

Security and limitations

We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted production systems, backups, and monitoring appropriate to the private beta. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Do not provide government identifiers, financial-account details, health records, passwords, or other information that is unnecessary for a job search.

CVExpert is intended for adults seeking employment and is not directed to children under 18.
